About me

I'm Keren, and I'm an independent Stampin' Up! Demonstrator based in Swansea.  I am very lucky to live within sight of  the sea - from my living room window I can watch the ships sailing along the Bristol Channel and the beach is at the end of my street.

I took this picture from my living room window.  (One of those bowlers is my husband)

I've been crafting  one way or another for as long as I can remember - I always loved drawing and learned to embroider when I was very young.  I went on to be a primary school teacher and one of the things that I enjoyed about the job was teaching Art and Craft and creating eye-catching displays. My favourite was a 3D Jabberwock based on a plastic bottle, bendy straws and aluminium pie cases.  I love Altered Art (and you can see some of my work on my Altered Art blog, Altered Ego)  and kinetic and action cards - paper engineering fascinates me.

Why Stampin'Up!?  I was looking for a particular punch (it was the Word Window punch) that was exclusive to Stampin' Up! and also for SU!'s Whisper White ink, which had been recommended to me as just about the best white craft ink on the market (it is VERY good!) .  The Demonstrator I shopped with sent me a catalogue...I ordered some more items...and then there was a joining incentive and the rest is history.  I love the fact that I can use SU! materials in my altered art (check out some of my Tuppeny Techniques videos on YouTube to see what I mean!)

What else?  I have two grown-up sons from my first marriage and a full-time job as a Service Design manager.  I'm a Crazy Cat Lady, with a lifelong love of felids.  This is Mysti, our Lilac & Cream Persian, and definitely the boss of the house.
I would love it if you got in touch with me, to ask a question or just to comment.  Thank you for visiting and I do hope you call back again soon.

  2. I've been following you for a while from Tennessee. I loved your Star TRek Communicator mock up but no directions were there when I clicked on the next page. Is there any way you could redo it or send it to me? I have a friend who is a Trekkie and this would be an awesome Birthday card for her! Thanks!
